Samantha Johnson and Victoria Simms recently attended the annual Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) conference, hosted in Vancouver Canada. Victoria delivered two presentations at the conference. One presentation focused on new findings from the PRISM study investigating how very preterm children process visual information and the relationship between this skill and mathematical achievement. The second presentation discussed information on the impact of general and mathematical anxiety on very preterm children's' mathematical achievement. All of our research was well received and we got lots of questions from other academics and pediatricians!
